I am an academic, writer and organisational consultant. I currently teach as an associate lecturer at Ravensbourne University and occasionally elsewhere, having recently completed a PhD in Culture and Politics at Birkbeck, University of London. My research interests include autonomous cultural and political practices, alternative organisation and self-governance, the art and politics of listening and radical pedagogy.
If you want to know more about my work with organisations please go to my page on organisational consultancy.
My recent publications include The Force of Listening, published as part of the Doormats series by Errant Bodies Press, written with Lucia Farinati. The book looks at the role of listening in contemporary conjunctions between art and activism through dialogue. Forthcoming publications include book reviews for New Formations and Theory, Culture and Society, articles on reading groups for ephemera, the journal for theory and politics in organisation and the Journal of Applied Teaching and Learning, and a book chapter on resistance and autonomy for a book on legacies of ’68. I am also currently on the editorial board of the Journal of Aesthetics and Protest for their exciting issue 11 on culture beside itself in a time of rising fascism.
